Apart from the artist and numerous visitors, the opening was also attended by Croatian Culture Minister Nina Obuljen Korzinek and her Montenegrin counterpart Janko Ljumovic.
The two ministers underlined that Popovic was an artist who was strongly connecting Croatia and Montenegrin cultures and that his contribution to the two countries' cultural ties was immeasurable.
Popovic’s works (drawings, prints, paintings, and sculptures) evolved thematically and technically through different phases, mostly inspired by Leonardo's drawings, surrealism, Ivan Mestrovic's sculptures etc.
The exhibition will be opened until March 19.
