In Pula, about 40 swimmers joined in the celebration of the New Year Day by participating in the first swim of the year in the Mornar bathing facility.
In Sibenik, this traditional event took part on the "Banj" beach with dozens enjoying the New Year Day's swim.
On Split's Bacvice beach, locals held a match of "Picigin", traditional ball game played on the beach.
On Saturday, New Year's eve, local resident Dusko Rudez, 72, nicknamed the man-seal, traditionally dived into the waters of the Drava River at noon of 31 December.
