The ministry said the notification, received on Thursday, was a very important step in the procedure of approval of this strategic project.
The ministries in charge of the project and the Croatian Roads company will continue with activities to make sure the project application meets the necessary criteria and the European Commission grants the maximum, 85% rate of co-financing, the ministry said.
It noted, however, that at present it was impossible to forecast when the EC could make a decision confirming the co-financing of the project.
