Under the agreement, the Poljoprivreda Lipik agricultural company will be granted HRK 2.58 million from EU funds to prepare documentation, the ministry said.
The purpose of the project is to present Croatian tradition and intangible cultural heritage through the Lipizzaner horse farm. Visits will be organised to the farm and its 180-metre-long stable, one of the longest in Europe.
The project also envisages construction of an equestrian museum.
"I am particularly proud that EU funds are being invested in living cultural heritage such as a farm of Lipizzaner horses which have been bred there for over 150 years. A project like this will certainly attract tourists and help boost the local economy," said Minister Gabrijela Zalac, who signed the grant agreement.
