New registrations in the EU27 (not including Malta, for which data was not available) totalled 1,148,618 units (+5.8%).
Growth was supported by all major markets, with Spain (+13.5%), France (+8.5%) and Italy (+8.2%) posting the strongest gains, while the UK (+2.9%) and Germany (+1.5%) followed with more modest figures.
In Croatia, a total of 2,752 new cars were registered in November, an increase of 24.5% from the same month of 2015. In the first 11 months of this year, there were 39,627 new car registrations, an increase of 20.2% from the same period of last year.
In the EU27, there were 13.5 million new registrations In the first 11 months of 2016, an increase of 7.1% from the same period of last year.
According to figures released earlier by the Promocija Plus market research agency, which are based on data from the Croatian Ministry of the Interior, 2,826 new cars were sold in Croatia in November, 518 cars or 22.5% more than in November 2015.
From January to end November, 40,631 new cars were sold in Croatia, 7,024 or 21% more than in the same period of 2015. The most popular car make in Croatia was Volkswagen.
