ZAGREB, Nov 29 (Hina) - An exhibition of 950 neckties, worn by famous men, including politicians, pop stars, artists, actors, opera singers, researchers and local distinguished persons, was staged in the city hall of the Croatian coastal city of Sibenik on Monday within events marking the 950th anniversary of Sibenik being mentioned for the first time under its present name in 1066 in a Charter of the Croatian King Petar Kresimir.

Opening the exhibition, Mayor Zeljko Buric thanked the organisers of the exhibition called "Kravata-Croata", and those are Jagoda Sablic, Franka Klaric and Sara Lovric Caparin.

Sablic said that they had managed to collect more than 950 neckties.

Among those who have been glad to donate their neckties were Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, actors Goran Grgic, Spiro Guberina, opera singer Ivo Pattiera, as well as former residents of Sibenik who now live in Australia, USA, Scandinavian countries and in other foreign countries.
