ZAGREB, Aug 21 (Hina) - Croatia's participants at the Rio Summer Olympic Games won a total of 10 medals, which makes these Olympics most successful for Croatia.

In Rio, Croatia's representatives have taken three medals in athletics (two golds and a bronze), a bronze in boxing, a gold and a silver in rowing, a gold and a silver in sailing, a gold in shooting and a silver in water polo.

Croatia has five Olympic champions from the latest summer games: discus thrower Sandra Perkovic, javelin thrower Sara Kolak, rowers Martin and Valent Sinkovic in the men's double sculls, plus sailors Sime Fantela and Igor Marenic in the men's 470 (dinghy) and shooter Josip Glasnovic in the men's trap.

The three silvers were won by rower Damir Martin in the men's single sculls competition, sailor Tonci Stipanovic in the men's laser class, and the men's water polo team.

The bronze medals were taken by female high jumper Blanka Vlasic and boxer Filip Hrgovic in the men's super heavyweight category.

On the day before the last day of these Games, Croatia ranks 17th among the 78 countries that have so far taken medals.

At the London Games in 2012, Croatia won three golds, one silver and two bronzes, ranking 26th among the 85 countries that competed at the Olympics.
