Glasnovic follows in the footsteps of Giovanni Cernogoraz, the Croat who won the gold in men's trap in London four years ago.
Glasnovic won the 24th medal for Croatia at Summer Olympics since the country gained independence and the seventh gold. Croatia won the gold in men's handball in 1996 and 2004, in water polo in 2012, Nikolaj Pesalov won it in weightlifting in 2000, Sandra Perkovic in disc throwing in 2012 and Cernogoraz in men's trap in 2012. Croatian athletes have also won seven silvers and ten bronzes.
