In an exceptionally strong competition, Croatia Airlines was ranked fourth, leaving behind some of the best airlines in this part of Europe, a press release says.
The World Airline Awards is the most prestigious global recognition in the airline industry. It's the airlines Oscar.
Airlines are awarded based on passenger experience and this year more than 19 million passengers were surveyed about 40 key indicators of success of more than 280 airline carriers around the world.
"We are exceptionally pleased that with this global recognition we have strengthened our market position among the best airline companies in Europe. We can proudly say that this is the result of our systematic investment in advancing our services and passenger satisfaction which among else, is obvious in the expansion of flight networks and new routes connecting Croatia with several attractive European destinations," CEO Kresimir Kucko said.
Croatia Airlines this season has direct flights between Croatian and 34 European destinations in 21 countries, and eight Croatian airports.
