ZAGREB, June 9 (Hina) - Osijek Airport, in cooperation with Trade Air, on Thursday announced new flights between Osijek and Zagreb, Pula, Rijeka, Split and Dubrovnik as of July 1.

The airport's director, Domagoj Marinic, told a press conference that Croatian Airlines began operating in Osijek in early April. When Trade Air flights start in July, the airport will work at full capacity with almost 1,500 domestic flights a year, he said.

He added that last year 30,000 passengers transited through the Osijek airport and considering the latest deals, he expected the number to be significantly higher this year.

Flights between Osijek and Zagreb will run three times a week, with return flights the same day.

Flights to Split will run four days a week, three days a week to Dubrovnik and two days a week to Pula and Rijeka. These flights will run in summer and winter.

"Because of the cooperation between Croatia Airlines and Trade Air, passengers will be able to purchase tickets for connecting flights to over ten destinations around Europe, with a minimum waiting period," Marinic said.

Trade Air's sales representative Seif Aldin Salameh said that three years ago a strategic decision was made and the company is pleased that it can participate in connecting airports around the country and in international connections with Croatia Airlines flights.
