Author: Vojo Micak

ZAGREB, May 14 (Hina) - The Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts (HOK) and the Montenegrin Chamber of Skilled Crafts and Entrepreneurship (ZPK) signed a cooperation agreement in the northern Adriatic town of Umag on Saturday as part of a working meeting that also involved the chambers of Slovenia and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The agreement, signed by HOK chairman Dragutin Ranogajec and ZPK chairman Slobodan Starcevic, aims to establish cooperation and promote trades and crafts, especially in vocational training, their competitiveness, representation of common interests before international and domestic organisations, and joint participation in EU projects, the HOK said in a press release.

Ranogajec and Starcevic said they would help members of the two chambers to establish cooperation in order to be more competitive on third markets.

Ranogajec said that the agreement was a step forward in expanding cooperation with neighbouring countries. HOK had earlier signed similar agreements with the chambers of Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was also attended by the chairman and director of the Slovenian Chamber of Craft and Small Business, Branko Meh and Danijel Lamperger respectively, the chairman of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mensur Bektic, and ZPK director Boris Mardjonovic.
