Most motorway operators recorded an increase in revenues from toll collection. HAC earned HRK 1.48 billion, an increase of 5.9% compared with 2014; ARZ's toll revenues rose by 6.8% to HRK 540 million, Bina-Istra recorded revenues of HRK 186.3 million, up 13.2%, while AZM earned 4% more than in 2014, or HRK 203.2 million.
Last year, 24.4 kilometres of new motorways were opened to traffic, increasing the length of the motorways network by 1.9%. A further 23.1 kilometres of new motorways is planned to be opened this year.
Investment in the construction of new motorways in 2015 reached HRK 349 million and in the reconstruction of existing sections HRK 136.2 million. This year, the plan is to invest HRK 778 million, of which 492 million in new sections and the rest in the existing ones.
The number of vehicles using the Croatian motorways increased by 7.2% to 70.4 million. All the concessionaires recorded increases of between 4.3% and 8.9% in the number of vehicles.
