The two-digit increases were driven mostly by foreign tourists. Their number, compared with February 2015, increased by 24.3% to 116,100, and they spent 256,200 nights.
The number of domestic tourists also increased, by 11% to 78,400, and the number of their overnight stays rose by 5.7% to 172,000.
Broken down by nationality, the largest number of bed nights was generated by Slovenians (20.5%), followed by Austrians (10%), Italians (9.7%), Germans (8.6%), tourists from Bosnia and Herzegovina (6.4%) and from South Korea (5.5%).
