The venue for the finals is Spaladium Arena, built for the World Handball Championship in 2009, located in one of Croatia's most beautiful and historic cities. Split and the Arena are located on the Croatian coast and it is surely one of the most unique and beautiful places Dota was ever played at.
"Dota Pit League Season 4 and Counter Pit League Season 2 will feature big LAN finals in Split, Croatia. LAN finals will take place starting on March 17, 2016, and will conclude on March 20. The whole event will take place in Spaladium Arena, a 10,000-seats venue,” organisers said announcing the tournaments last November.
The event will be streamed on the Internet and it is expected to reach 100 million viewers. This is the first eSport event ever held in Croatia.
The prize pool for Counter Pit is US$80,000 and for Dota Pit exceeds $200,000.
