"This is the 14th expert conference on the training of guide dogs," the head of the Croatian Guide Dog and Mobility Association, Mira Katalenic, told Hina earlier this week.
Some 400 participants have applied for attendance.
According to Katalenic, the Croatian Guide Dog and Mobility Association has asked various organisations, banks and authorities for assistance in organising the event, and to date only the Japanese Ambassador Keiji Ide has promised concrete help by organising a fund-raising concert on March 19 in the Westin Hotel in Zagreb as part of the Japanese Culture Week.
Also, President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic has accepted the patronage of the International Guide Dog Federation Seminar 2016 on Emerging Opportunities in Hvar, according to a notice on the website of the Croatian association which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
