The festival will be hosting Irish literary stars Sebastian Barry, a playwright, novelist and poet, and Eoin Colfer, an author of children's books, best known for his Artemis Fowl series.
"The aim of the Festival is to increase the book audience and to promote reading and books which will be boosted through literary programs with famous guest authors, the best national selection of discount books, as well as gastronomic and musical events," the organiser said on its website.
Last year the partner country was Sweden. With great support from the Embassy of Sweden in Zagreb the festival hosted some of the most popular authors of crime novels, as well as those of children's literary production such as Kristina Ohlsson, Roslund and Thunberg, Sven Nordqvist, and Ulf Stark. In addition to Swedish guest writers, one of the most popular Turkish journalists and activists Ece Temelkuran, was also a guest at the first edition of the festival.
