It was the fifth quarter in a row that GDP had grown annually, albeit at a slower rate than in the third quarter when the economy grew 2.8%, which was the largest increase since the second quarter of pre-recession 2008.
The growth was underpinned by domestic demand. Household consumption in Q4 2015 went up by 2.4% annually, compared with 1.4% in Q3.
In entire 2015, the EU's GDP grew by 1.8% and Croatia's by 1.6%; 2015 was the first year in which the Croatian economy grew after six years of downturn.
