The meeting, after which President Grabar-Kitarovic made no statements for the press, was held after the opening of the Feast of St. Blaise.
Archbishop Cupich said that this was his third meeting with President Grabar-Kitarovic, and that the previous two meetings took place in Washington and more recently, in Chicago.
Cupich, who is of Croat background, said that it was good to see the president again and encourage her and the new government in assuming important duties. He added that he believed that there was a sense of hope regarding the country's future.
