Author: Marija Šestan

ZAGREB, Nov 16 (Hina) - The State Electoral Commission (DIP) on Monday released complete results of the Croatian parliamentary election after the voting was repeated at seven polling stations on Sunday due to irregularities in the election on 8 November, and DIP President Branko Hrvatin stressed that those were complete but not final results, given that deadlines for possible complaints must expire before declaring the outcome final.

In the coming days, the Constitutional Court is to deal with complaints, if there are any, according to Hrvatin who also said that only after that procedure the results are to be provided to the relevant decision-makers, including Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, the parliament and the government.

Hrvatin presented some interesting statistical data about the election of 143 deputies in ten constituencies in the country and in the constituency for Croatians living abroad, plus eight deputies elected by ethnic minorities.
Broken down by gender, 128 deputies are male (84.85%) while only 23 are female (15.23%).

Of the female legislators, the oldest one is Marija Ilic, born in 1945, and the youngest is Marija Puh, born in 1985.
Of the male MPs, the oldest one is Miroslav Tudjman, born in 1946, and the youngest legislator is Vilibor Sincic, born in 1990.

The median age of male legislators is 50, and the median age of female MPs is 39.7.
