He said that the delivery of supplies to the centre was proceeding smoothly. "Currently fuel is being procured so that this system can function independently in the next five months. We estimate that we need 7-10 million kuna monthly for a part of the commodities the refugee centre is obtaining from the commodity reserves," said Miletic.
The transit centre for refugees at Slavonski Brod receives food, fuel, tents, toiletries, container homes and beds from the commodity reserves.
Miletic said that all funds used to cover the costs of dealing with the refugee crisis would be compensated for by the EU. "All the money will be claimed from the EU budget. Records are being kept of the funds that are being spent now and we expect to be reimbursed entirely by the EU," said Miletic.
