KRIZEVCI, Nov 4 (Hina) - Newly-built cycle lanes were opened on Wednesday in Krizevci, around 70 km northeast of Zagreb, as part of the project "BA Biking - By Bicycle From Balaton to the Adriatic", implemented by Krizevci and the Hungarian border municipality of Balatonszemes.
Eighty-five percent of the funds for this cross-border project was ensured under the EU's Instrument of Pre-accession Assistance.

The total value of the project is EUR 925,630 and the total length of cycle lanes is more than six kilometres.

The project also includes four rest stops, a parking area and a belvedere. The other partners in the project were Koprivnica-Krizevci County, the cyclists' association of the Hungarian town of Marcali and the Krizevci Tourism Board.
