The figures show that the number of passengers at the airports in July 2015 was 1.24 million, which was nearly 70,000 or 6% more than in July 2014.
The increase in the number of passengers in July was accompanied by an 8% increase in the number of aircraft operations (landings and take-offs) to nearly 14,000. The same increase was also recorded in the first seven months of the year, with nearly 53,000 landings and take-offs recorded.
Split Airport registered the largest number of passengers in July, 431,000, which was an increase of nearly 12% compared with July 2014. It was followed by Dubrovnik Airport with 327,000 passengers and Zagreb Airport with 277,400 passengers (both up 8%).
Passengers mostly came from Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway, France and Sweden.
Cargo operations at the Croatian airports in July, compared with June, increased by 9.4% to 755 tonnes, while in the first seven months they dropped by 2.2% to 4,301 tonnes.
