The official program will feature thirteen performances from nine countries, providing the audience with an overview of European, national and regional puppetry.
This year's PIF equally represent three different tendencies in puppetry - repertory performances that demonstrate the skills of traditional puppetry, performances that experiment and expand puppet form, and a new trend in European theatre - performances intended for the youngest audience that is being introduced to the theatre for the first time.
The festival will be opened by Dutch theatre Lichtbende with their play Tutu, that will take us in the 1920s with their peculiar mixture of shadow theatre, objects theatre, dance and music all performed live.
