NEW YORK, Sept 1 (Hina) - The world is at a crossroads because of numerous threats and challenges faced by humankind such as climate change, natural disasters, inequality, security threats, terrorism and poverty and the adoption of new sustainable development goals, to replace the Millennium Development Goals, is the most ambitious global effort to deal with these problems, Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) chair Sabel Chowdhury said opening the Fourth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in New York.
