According to the president of the Vespa Club Croatia, Rafael Culjak, more than 5,000 riders from 32 countries have confirmed their arrival which will make this the biggest Vespa event in history.
The oldest participant in the event is 86 and is from Brussels and the youngest is an 8-year-old boy from Naples.
Vespa gatherings have a tradition of more than sixty years. The first gathering was held in 1954. The Vespa community today counts more than 60,000 members in 42 national clubs.
The primary objective of the organisation is to support and endorse the multitudinous activities and initiatives which form part of the Vespa universe.
Croatian Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin will address the event on Thursday afternoon.
