A total of 5.01 million euros will be paid for that purpose, of which nearly 3.76 million euros comes from the EU budget and 1.25 million euros from the Croatian state budget. The funds will be used to encourage the commercial production of aquatic organisms intended for human consumption, the construction and equipping of fish farms, retail facilities, distribution centres, specialised vehicles, and machinery.
The ministry said that with the payment of the 5.01 million euros, the total available envelope for the "Production Investments in Aquaculture" measure has been used in full. The projects were selected in a tender conducted on the basis of the Fisheries operational programme for the period 2007-2013.
