According to the survey, conducted in December 2014 on a sample of 150 small and medium-sized companies and corporations in the four countries, Slovenia's economic index is 69 points while Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina both received 79 points. According to Prisma risk assessment expert Gudrun Meierschitz, the index includes the assessment of the overall economic situation in the country, import-export and investment activities and payment behaviour.
The higher the index, the more positive economic environment, Meierschitz said, adding that the survey showed that Croats are dissatisfied with the economic situation, but that 48% of those polled expected the situation to improve over the next 12 months
The survey also shows that companies in Croatia expect bigger investments and an increase in exports and imports.
Most optimistic are companies in Serbia, despite objectively poor figures for that country.
