Anaesthesiologists, radiologists, surgeons and gynaecologists with an average age of 39, both male and female, make up the largest number of doctors wishing to emigrate.
Sixty percent of them are doctors currently working in hospitals and only 11 percent are family doctors and emergency staff.
Unemployed doctors as well as doctors without any specialisation are seeking to go abroad too, the Chamber reports.
Croatian doctors cannot obtain a working permit abroad without first being issued with a certificate of qualification from the Chamber, however, the Chamber does not have precise information of how many doctors have moved out of the country.
The Chamber's president, Hrvoje Minigo, warned that Croatia could soon be faced with an acute shortage of medical staff.
