The newest ADAC and ANWB camping guides were released in January at the tourism fairs in Utrecht and Stuttgart and KUH underscores that these are considered to be the most important when assessing the quality of camps in Europe.
As the most numerous campers to Croatia come from Germany, The Netherlands and Austria, their opinion is more than a significant impact on the number of visitors each year which KUH confirms with information that last year camps saw a rise of 34% in overnight stays of Germany tourists, 10% Dutch and 9% rise of Austrian tourists or a total of 8.7 million overnight stays.
ADAC/ANWB "BestCamping" sites once again listed five Croatia camps in the ranking: Zaton, Krk, Valalta, Lanterna and Park Umag.
In addition 38 camps, which is ten more than last year, were assessed as showing visible improvement in quality, 20 of these being in Istria.
