"We expect the continuation of the recovery of industrial production in 2015 and it to reach the levels in 2012," HGK analyst Zvonimir Savic said in a press release on Friday.
The press release recalls that Croatia's industrial production in November saw an annual rise of 2.8%, thus increasing for the third straight month.
In the first eleven months, industrial production rose 1% compared to the corresponding period in 2013.
The HGK analysts also expect a mild rise in Croatia's retail turnover in 2015 partly due the low reference base in 2014.
The chamber notes that retail sales in 2014 were 17% down from 2008.
In the first eleven months of 2014, retail trade increased by only 0.2% compared to the corresponding period in 2013.
Weak positive trends, which actually border on stagnation, and a generally low level of real retail sales are a result of negative trends on the labour market, which have persisted for several years, with a drop in employment and a real decline in take-home pay, which have affected the population's purchasing power, the HGK notes.
