The ceremony of inaugurating that open-air artificial ice skating rink, decorated with light effects, attracted hundreds of local residents as well as local media reporters and foreign journalists.
The head of the local tourist board said this project, which cost HRK 1.5 million, cherished the tradition of open-air skating rink that used to be in that part of Zagreb 140 years ago.
The 800-square-metre skating rink, situated in the vicinity of Zagreb Central Railway Station, will be open to skaters from 10 am to 11 pm on working days and from 9 am to 11 pm on weekends until 18 January.
The ice park includes also a 400-metre-long skating lane.
The ice park offers beverages and traditional food for this season, as well.
