ZAGREB, Nov 26
(Hina) - The Croatian Office for the Suppression of
Corruption and Organised Crime (USKOK) has launched an investigation
into the owner of the Gavrilovic meat company, Djuro Gavrilovic, on
suspicion that during the re-privatisation of the Petrinja-based
company, which used to be owned by the Gavrilovic family before its
nationalisation in the Socialist Yugoslavia, he unlawfully acquired
two million German marks, which is equivalent to 7.8 million kuna.
