The award is presented every year to tourist destinations for the on-line presentation of their services and based on an analysis by the award jury.
Rijeka was awarded for its website www.visitRijeka.hr, launched late last year. In the explanation of the award Rijeka was described as "a city that needs to be discovered, an open and friendly city boasting a rich historic heritage, a cosmopolitan character and architecture".
