The jury explained that Svilicic deserved the award "for a profound sensitivity and a masterful consequence in displaying the human struggle against bureaucracy and indifference."
The Grand Prix of the film festival in the Polish capital went to "The Coffin In The Mountain/Binguan" by Chinese filmmaker Xin Yukan.
A total of 200 feature films and short films from 59 countries have been shown during the 30th WFF. The Warsaw festival ends on Sunday with the screening of awarded films.
The world premiere of "These are the Rules" took place on 29 August 2014, in the Horizons section of the 71st Venice International Film Festival.
