The parade was organised by the Serbian Defence Ministry and the Serbian army. It was held for the first time since 1985.
Before the parade, participants were addressed by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and Putin.

(Hina) - A military parade was held in Belgrade on
Thursday on the 70th anniversary of its liberation in WWII, including
4,500 Serbian army members, a senior Russian delegation led by
President Vladimir Putin, Partisan veterans, and the military and
diplomatic corps, except the ambassador and representatives of the
United States.
