The visit will focus on cooperation in areas such as energy and the environment, food industry, IT, health, architecture, film, children's theatre and archeology, the royal couple announced in a press release.
The purpose of the visit of the Danish delegation is to expand and deepen the partnership with their Croatian partners, Hans Peter Slente of the Confederation of Danish Industries told Croatian journalists in Copenhagen ahead of the visit.
Croatia is in the process of investing in many new technologies and practices in the field of energy and environmental standards. That is the consequence of development of society which is increasingly focusing on energy security, climate and environmental protection. This development is partly also the result of the country's recent entry into the European Union, he said.
Slente noted that Danish companies knew from experience that after EU entry more attention would be devoted to green growth and were coming to Croatia to show their solutions and offer their services and partnership.
A Croatian-Danish business forum is scheduled for October 22 and among the topics discussed will be energy efficiency and water management solutions.
