The contract was signed by the brewery's regional president for Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Slovenia, Sergey Yeskow, and CKB president Won Jong Sun.
Yeskow said they were proud to be the first Croatian brewery to sell its beer on the demanding South Korean market, recalling that the Ozujsko brand had a 120-year-long tradition.
He said the value of the contract was a trade secret and hoped that the deal would be successful because South Korea had about 50 million inhabitants.
The CKB president said the contract was a good way to intensify the links between the Croatian and Korean economies as well as promote Croatian beer in South Korea. He voiced confidence that Korean consumers would take to Ozujsko, popularly called "Zuja".
South Korean Ambassador to Croatia Hyung-won Suh and Croatian Assistant Economy Minister Ismar Avdagic attended the signing.
The ambassador said he was pleased with this partnership, hopeful that it would encourage other Croatian manufacturers to export to South Korea.
Avdagic said this contract was important for the Croatian economy, hoping there would be more, to confirm the good trends in the economy, notably in exports.
