BELGRADE, Sept 9
(Hina) - The Bunjevci are not Croats but a separate
ethnic minority, Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic said on Tuesday in
response to criticisms from Croatian President Ivo Josipovic who
described Nikolic's donation of school books in the Cyrillic script to
the Bunjevci community in the northern Serbian region of Vojvodina as
being part of a policy of assimilation of the ethnic Croat community
in Vojvodina.
