ZAGREB, July 31
(Hina) - The Croatian Peasant Party (HSS) on
Thursday urged the Agriculture Ministry to conduct a control over a
possible donation of seeds from Monsanto to the flooded eastern areas,
as this opposition parliamentary party fears that this multinational
company which the HSS describes as "a leading global producer of
genetically modified seeds" might send GMO seeds although all Croatian
counties are declared GMO free.
