BELGRADE, June 26
(Hina) - Commenting on a request from the UN
tribunal for war crimes to Serbia's justice ministry to ensure
conditions for the house arrest of war crimes indictee Vojislav Seselj
if he is released from the Scheveningen detention centre, the Serbian
official in charge of cooperation with the International Criminal
Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), Rasim Ljajic, said on
Thursday that the possible release of Seselj, who is still standing
trial at the tribunal, would be "an unprecedented case" because the
Serbian government learnt about the conditions set by the ICTY from
the media.
