ZAGREB, May 25
(Hina) - The coalition led by the strongest
opposition party -- the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) -- is set to
win 5 out of 11 seats allocated for Croatian members in the European
Parliament, while the ruling coalition led by the Social Democratic
Party (SDP) trails behind with 4 seats, and ORaH, led by former SDP
member Mirela Holy, and the eight-party coalition Alliance for
Croatia, led by the Croatian Democratic Alliance of Slavonia and
Baranja (HDSSB), can count on one seat each, preliminary results of
the EU election, released by the State Election Commission (DIP) on 11
pm on Sunday, indicate.
