VUKOVAR, April 7
(Hina) - The national union of forestry workers
cannot accept the decision by the state-owned Hrvatske Sume forest
management company on a new job classification that would render
500-700 workers redundant, the union's leader, Zeljko Kalauz, said in
Vukovar on Monday, noting that "a company that makes 200 million kuna
in profits cannot fire workers."
