ZAGREB, March 6
(Hina) - Although the legal status of women in
Europe has improved in recent decades, effective equality is far from
being a reality, and even if progress is visible, such as in
educational attainment, labour market participation, and political
representation, gender gaps persist, according to the Council of
Europe (CoE) Gender Equality Strategy 2014-2017 which was presented in
Zagreb on Thursday, on the occasion of International Women's Day, by
the head of the Croatian government's Gender Equality Office.
