OSIJEK, Feb 13
(Hina) - Former Croatian president Stjepan Mesic on
Thursday testified in the trial of former land army commander Mladen
Kruljac and five others accused of corruption, saying he had never
issued an order for infrastructure works which the army did in the
eastern Croatian municipality of Sibinj, but that then Chief-Of-Staff
General Josip Lucic, without explicitly mentioning the municipality,
had instructed Kruljac on how to act, which "can also be understood as
an order."
