ZAGREB, Feb 12
(Hina) - Currently, 75% of Croatian areas that used
to be prone to flooding are covered by a flood protection scheme and
there are plans to increase the area to 87% by 2023, while the entire
territory of Croatia should be protected against flooding by 2038,
according to the country's strategic targets which were presented at a
conference on water management and European Union funds, held in
Zagreb on Wednesday within "A Week of EU Funds".
