ZAGREB, 31 Jan (Hina) - Croatia secured its place in the final of the 2025 IHF World Men’s Handball Championship after a dominant victory over reigning European champions France at a packed Zagreb Arena on Thursday night.
Croatia topped France 31-28. The other finalist will be known Friday after Denmark and Portugal play in the second semi-final match.
With this victory, Croatia has secured its sixth medal in World Championship history and its first in 12 years, since winning bronze in Spain. This is Croatia's fifth time reaching the final, having previously won one gold (in 2003 in Portugal) and three silver medals (in Iceland 1995, Tunisia 2005, and Croatia 2009).
