Organised by the Croatian Museum Association (HMD), the event will feature around a thousand activities, including exhibitions, workshops, lectures, screenings, and musical programmes, all of which visitors can attend free of charge.
The president of HMD, Vlasta Krklec, said this year's theme aims to enhance the visibility of museums, galleries, and other heritage institutions while showcasing everything that happens behind the scenes.
For Museum Night in Zagreb, which will be held at 35 locations, public transport will once again be free.
Zagreb's city museums will be open from 6 PM to 11 PM, although some locations will remain open until 1 AM.
The official national opening will take place at the Hall of Fame of Split Sport in Split.
Museum Night was launched in 2005 with just five museums, and to date, it has been visited by 4.2 million people.
