A ceremony was held at Zagreb Airport, where the first passengers from Stockholm were welcomed.
In addition to the direct seasonal flights Zagreb-Stockholm seasonal flights, Croatian Airlines is introducing two new seasonal routes from Zagreb this year. The first flight on the new Zagreb-Berlin route is planned for Tuesday, 21 May, with flights operating three times a week (Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays), and on 14 June the Zagreb-Tirana route will be introduced, on which flights are scheduled twice a week (Fridays and Sundays).
Zagreb Tourist Board president Martina Bienenfeld said the introduction of new direct flights by Croatia Airlines connecting Zagreb with Berlin, Stockholm and Tirana represented a significant boost for tourism in the Croatian capital.
During the tourist season, Croatia Airlines plans to connect Croatia with 28 international destinations, that is, 29 European airports, and their planes will fly on 50 international routes.
