KOSOVO SERBIA PROTEST
epa11147504 Ethnic Serbs take part in a protest against Kosovo's Central Bank decision to enforce Euro-only cash transactions, in North Mitrovica, Kosovo, 12 February 2024. The Central Bank's ordinance indicates that the euro is the only means of payment in Kosovo and that, in this regard, every transaction should be in euros as the only official currency in Kosovo. Kosovo Serbs see the mandate as an attempt to cut off payments such as pensions, tuition, and salaries made by the Republic of Serbia in Serbian currency, the dinar. EPA/GEORGI LICOVSKI
