Altamira is a Spanish cave complex renowned for prehistoric cave art featuring charcoal drawings and polychrome paintings of contemporary local fauna and human hands.
The museum's director, Damr Komšo, recalled that in 1985, Altamira was added to UNESCO's World Heritage list.
The authors of the exhibition, that will run through 31 March, are Pilar Fatás Monforte, Director of National Museum and Research Centre of Altamira, Ramón Montes Barquín, Technical Coordinator of “Prehistoric Rock Art Trails” Cultural Route of the Council of Europe, and Luna Brhanić.
